What This Service Covers

Finding the Right Role
with the Right Support

Looking for work in Singapore as a foreign worker is not straightforward. There are regulations to understand, documents to prepare and employers to match with — and too many agencies treat candidates as a transaction rather than a person.

Sunpower Employment supports candidates through the full placement process — from understanding your background and skills, to matching you with suitable employers, to assisting with work permit documentation. We work across construction, manufacturing, marine, F&B, domestic work, logistics and general services.

Our placement process is transparent. We operate under EA Licence 18C9069 and comply fully with MOM's regulations on candidate fees, employment contracts and fair treatment — so you know exactly what to expect before anything is signed.

Know Before You Sign

Your Rights as a
Jobseeker in Singapore

Singapore law protects jobseekers and foreign workers from exploitative placement practices. As a licensed employment agency, Sunpower Employment is legally bound to operate within these protections — and we believe every candidate should understand what they are entitled to before any agreement is signed.

This is general information only. For the most current rules on EA fees, contract requirements and your rights as a foreign worker in Singapore, refer to the MOM website directly.

MOM Jobseeker Rights

EA Fee Cap

Employment agencies in Singapore are legally capped on how much they can charge candidates. For most workers, this is no more than one month's salary per year of employment contract.

Written Employment Contract

You are entitled to a written employment contract before you start work. It must state your salary, duties, rest days and other key terms clearly — and in a language you understand.

Your Passport Stays With You

No employer or agency is permitted to retain your passport or personal identity documents. If anyone asks to hold your passport, this is unlawful under Singapore law.

Rest Days & Working Hours

Foreign workers are entitled to at least one rest day per week. Working hours and overtime entitlements are governed by the Employment Act and must be reflected in your contract.

Medical Coverage

Employers are required to provide medical insurance coverage for Work Permit holders. You should not be asked to pay for this insurance yourself.

Why Register With Us

What We Do Differently

Licensed & Accountable

We operate under EA Licence 18C9069 and are regulated by Singapore's Ministry of Manpower. You are not dealing with an informal middleman — you have legal protections when you work with a licensed agency.

Transparent About Fees and Terms

We explain our fees clearly before any agreement is made. We do not add hidden charges or change terms mid-process. You will know the full cost of placement before you commit to anything.

We Match to Verified Employers

We only introduce candidates to employers we have worked with directly. You are not being sent to an unknown contact — you are being introduced to a verified employer with a legitimate vacancy.

Reachable After You Start Work

If a problem arises in the first weeks — a contract disagreement, a welfare concern or a question about your rights — you can contact us directly. We stay involved through the settling-in period.
